FRESHLY CROWNED WORLD CHAMP CONTINUES WINNING STRIKE IN 2019: After three weeks resting and recovering in the winterly landscape of the Austrian Alps the 2018 World Champion Reiterer makes his return to Dubai. Last weekend Victory Team and Reiterer started their campaign for the next championship. Despite the UAE Championship being a national race series, Pro watersports athletes around the world are attracted by great racing, warmer winter temperatures to the countries of UAE. Multi World Champion Steven Dauliach (FRA), Raphael Maurin (FRA), who finished in second at the 2018 World Championship behind Reiterer and UAE new comers are trying their best to throw Reiterer of his thrown in 2019. The start of the Austrians second year under the guidance of Victory Team was with great success. With two first place finishes Victory Team and Reiterer are leading the overall ranking and clinched the first out of seven rounds of the Championship. Steven Dauliach finished second followed by UAE's Salman Alawadhi. “I felt great all weekend on the ski. All the hard work we have put in last winter is paying off. In the second Heat a wave collapsed over our ski before we took off. This resulted with water inside the engine bay which messed up our start. However, we managed to get through the field and more important it was an exciting race with lots of battles and action.” The second round of the Championship will be held on YAS Island next to the Formula One track of Abu Dhabi the upcoming weekend.
