There was a lot of talking going on about Zapatas superb handling race craft. The Frenchman was among other things he was using a twin trim and tab system on his specially prepared race craft. It activated through an electro-pneumatic system via the left lever and tricky button situated on the bars. The trim tabs were used along with the auto steering while, the centered trim was activated through a button in order to adjust stability at high speed in the back straight. He also used it under heavy breaking in order to decelerate faster.
