In the Runabout portion of the challenge the benchmark was set at 30.35 by the eventual runner up Troy Snyder on his Snyder Built Neptune Racing Sea-Doo. Coming in just .14 of a second behind Snyder was Extreme Propulsion Sea-Doo rider Stan Hightower. The winner in the class and only competitor to go under 30 seconds was Champion Powersports Sea-Doo jockey Brian Baldwin. Baldwin even went a little wide in the straight away picking up an extra buoy but that didn't stop him from winning with his 29.69 second run.
