>UWP-IJSBA National Tour 2012: Round 5

Day one of the Sparks Xtreme Beach Sport Festival got off to a fast start with the Pro-Am Runabout Open class on the water. Dustin Farthing ripped a huge hole shot on his Monster Energy Mountain Motorsports Yamaha and was able to lead wire to wire, however running nearly the same pace in second position was Edge Performance, Rius Racing Yamaha rider Nicolas Rius. Rius was unable to track Farthing down but definitely looked to have enough speed to possible make a run at him in the next two motos. Claude Clayton, on his Judge Motorsports, Oakley powered Sea-Doo, held off a furious attack from fellow Sea-Doo rider Brian Baldwin to secure the third finishing spot. In the Pro Ski GP class Chris MacClugage leapt out to an early lead and was never pressured as he took his Monster Energy Macc Racing Hydro Turf boat to another first place finish. Behind him however the battle raged with Rockstar Energy rider Rob Flores working hard to hold off the tough challenge of Kommander Industries, Blowsion racer David Redinger who eventual crossed the finish line third with fellow Kommander Industries rider Kody Copenhaven in fourth. In the Pro Am Runabout Stock class we had several red flag restarts and when we finally got the race under way three riders had to start with a dead engine. Troy Snyder took advantage of their misfortune and pulled the hole shot on his Snyder Built, Riva Racing Sea Doo boat. The Neptune racing rider settled into a nice rhythm and was able to take the moto one win. Ryan Hardwick on his Mountain Motorsports Farthing Racing Yamaha was pressured throughout the race by the Monster Energy, Hydro Turf Sea-Doo of Chris MacClugage. There were several spots where it looked like MacClugage was going to get around Hardwick but the Yamaha pilot was able to hold the G.O.A.T. off and take 2nd overall with MacClugage crossing the finish line in 3rd. In our Freestyle Exhibition, Daniel Martin continued to impress in the Amateur class as he builds toward a possible IJSBA World Title shot in Lake Havasu, AZ this fall. >UWP-IJSBA National Tour-Racine Round, Moto 2-3

Monster Energy Mountain Motorsports Yamaha rider Dustin Farthing was finally challenged this year during the third moto of the Pro-AM Runabout Open class with Claude Clayton getting a good jump out of the gate and holding the lead for several laps before the King was able to get by him to ride to the win and a first overall. Brian Baldwin got back into the swing of things on his Champion Powersports Sea-Doo and nailed down the second spot with the Dave's Auto Body Kawasaki of Eric Francis closing out the top three. In the Ski GP class we had a battle of the energy drinks as Chris MacClugage rode well with a moto 2 win and a second in moto 3 to put his Monster Energy Macc Racing #30 on the top step of the podium. Rob Flores improved his finishing position in all three motos on his Rockstar Energy Raceski.com boat to tally a second overall and David Redinger got his Kommander Industries Blowsion machine back in the top three with consistent riding that helped keep his national championship hopes alive. The Pro-Am Runabout Stock class gave us some of the best racing of the day with Troy Snyder pulling a hole shot in both the last two motos on his Snyder Built Riva Racing Sea-Doo. Chris MacClugage patiently stalked him and was able to pass him cleanly in both motos on his Monster Energy Hydro-Turf Sea-Doo for the overall win. Snyder kept a firm hold on the 2nd spot and Erminio Iantosca worked his way through the pack on his Redbull Riva Racing Sea-Doo for the final spot on the podium. It was a great local turnout for the Pro Freestyle with Mike Widdes taking the win and a great showing from Gary Burtka, Mike Hoffman, Joe Eckert and Greg Brock. Check out their website at realracine.com and we look forward to seeing everyone in two weeks in Sparks, NV for the Sparks Xtreme Beach Sports Festival.

>UWP-IJSBA National Tour 2102- Racine Round, Moto1

The Grand Prix of Watercross in Racine, WI kicked off with the big boats of the Runabout Open class and Dustin Farthing continued his dominance aboard his Monster Energy Mountain Motorsports Yamaha, notching his 7 consecutive moto win in a row. Behind him, Brian Baldwin, on his Champion Powersports Sea-Doo, built a considerable advantage over the number three boat of Erminio Iantosca. Iantosca overcame a slow start on his Riva Racing, Hydro-Turf Sea-Doo to finish solidly in third position. The Pro Ski GP class saw Monster Energy rider Chris MacClugage dart out to an early lead on his MACC Racing boat, but the GOAT relinquished the lead at about the halfway mark to the Rockstar Energy Bullet Racing rider Rob Flores. Mac Clugage was able to regain the lead a three laps later when Flores had a water line come loose and had to lift the cover on his boat for some on course repairs. Flores was able to continue but had to settle for a third place finish behind MacClugage and the Champion Powersports Weberpower.com rider Jim Cebulski. The freestyle division had a distinctly local field with all five pro riders hailing from the state of Illinois. Joe Eckert scratched his way to the win with a couple of nifty back flips on his Xscream Slippery Yamaha with Mike Hoffman finishing 2nd followed by Gary Burtka on his Freestyle Factory Twangled.com ride. Daniel Martin continued to shine in the amateur class and quite possible turned in the best ride of the day on his Xscream, Jet Pilot, Hydro-Turf Yamaha. In the hotly contested Pro-Am Runabout Stock class Chris MacClugage jumped out to an early lead and never looked back on his Monster Energy, MACC Racing Sea-Doo to take the Moto 1 win. Erminio Iantosca ran well on his Riva Racing Red Bull Sea-Doo to finish in second position and Eric Francis dialed up his Daves Auto Body Kawasaki for a third.
