>The Annual Long Beach to Catalina and back Offshore National Championship

The 2011 defending LB2CAT Champion is Mr. Tom Phan of Southern California who won this race in 2011 on his Kawasaki ULTRA 300X! We are all looking forward to a great race on July 22, 2012 and round two of the 2012 Triple Crown of Offshore racing! Top three spots in round one of the TCO went to Craig Warner of Monster Energy Kawasaki and PWCOFFSHORE.COM CORE Racing, then KC Heidler of PWCOFFSHORE.COM CORE Racing then John Feeney of Offshore Robot Racing. Two more rounds to go and 1500.00 in prize money to distribute at the end of the TCO Series. Per RPM Racing Enterprises, it looks like a later start time of 11 am this year with tech check going on throughout the morning - so get there bright and early! PWCOFFSHORE.COM has reserved a helicopter and film crew and it remains our intent to create another DVD for the 2012 LB2CAT! Due to there being one helicopter and how spread out the racers tend to become throughout the race, the current plan is to focus on the top 10 on the way out to the turn-boat, with focus on the top 5, then top 3 as they get closer to the turn-boat, get the top 10 going around the turn-boat, then focus on the top 5 for the first half of the return leg, then the top 3 for the last 25% of the race, then the leader as he /she gets through the break-wall. Should we have enough sponsorship for two helicopters, we should be able to get much better coverage of all racers! Got good go-pro video from the race? Please send me a note after the race and we’ll see if we can work it in. Updated information regarding the race will be here: http://pwcoffshore.com/LB2CAT_Race_Page.html

>UWP-IJSBA USA TOUR 2012 Montgomery 26-5: Pro AM Ski GP

We moved from sit downs to stand ups with the Pro-AM Ski GP class taking center stage. Rockstar Energy, Bullet Racing rider Rob Flores took the hole shot and went wire to wire for the win in moto1. Rick Sherker had another poor start with his Jet Tribe, Bullet Racing, Fly boat but was able to patiently make several passes to land on the second step of the box. David Redinger continued to exhibit great consistency riding his Kommander Industries, Blowsion, Kawasaki to another third place finish.

>UWP-IJSBA USA TOUR 2012 Montgomery 26-5: Pro Runabout Open

The HydroTurf IJSBA-UWP National Watercross tour kicked off Saturday morning at the US Open of Watercross with the Pro-AM Runabout Open class and Monster Energy, Mountain Motorsports Yamaha rider Dustin Farthing rocketed out of the gate and checked out on the tight and technical course. Behind him however there was plenty of work to be done with Claude Clayton, aboard his Judge Motorsports Sea-Doo, feeling the heat right to the checkers as Eric Francis on his Kawasaki USA number 911 kept the pressure on to finish behind "CC Rider" in third.

>UWP-IJSBA USA TOUR 2012 Montgomery 26-5: Pro Freestyle

The Freestyle riders got to work next and the amateur group warmed the crowd up nicely with Daniel Martin continuing to impress the judges on his XScream, Hydro-Turf, Yamaha. In the pro class Jeremy Parr spent umpteen hours getting his new boat together and practice was the first opportunity to get any tray time on the boat. You could see him gaining confidence as his run progressed but he was no match for Jason "The Destroyer" Stoyer this weekend. Stoyer threw out huge back flips with massive extension on his XScream, BlueFox, Hydro-Turf powered ride. When we talked to Jason afterward he said, "I still have some tricks up my sleeve but I want to pace myself and not show all my cards yet." It is obvious he is planning wisely in his bid to win a national title this year.

>Victor Sheldon jumping the log jump

There were only a handful of riders who could actually deal with the log jump very well and pass it in such a way that no one else could. One of them was Victor “The Slasher” Sheldon who is pictured on this peculiar shot.

>Akropolis Jet Raid 2012: Reverse counting

Hellenic Jet Sport Boating Association and Jet Raid Greece are counting backwards the time for the start of the Akropolis Jet Raid, the Rally of Gods that will be held for second consecutive year. Officially the race poster is presented and more than 50 riders are expected to participate in this 5 days race. Congratulations to all of them that will arrive in Greece soon although the sport is facing a decline due to the global and European economic crisis. The favorites are last years winner Jean-Bruno Pastorello and Teddy Pons, however it is expected as last year that some well known Greek riders will give them a hard time. We wish all of them Good Luck.
