The Toyota US Open of Watercross is expected to draw one of the largest gatherings of competitors in the country; participants are expected to travel from all over the country in pursuit of the champion title and a cash purse of over $10,000 dollars. The Toyota US Open is probably personal watertcraft racing\u0092s most prestigious event and winning here means earning a place in watercross history. The Toyota US Open of Watercross will be held on the northern-end of Onondaga Lake in Syracuse NY \u0096 this lake has not been without its controversy. Once considered a \u0093dead\u0094 lake, Onondaga Lake is a water success story \u0096 Onondaga Lake now hosts high school crew team practice and Pro Bass fishermen competitions.
