Not only did he win the 4-stroke stock class of the 300 mile extreme test of skill, determination and fortitude at Lake Havasu in Arizona, he did so as a solo rider in an international field mainly comprising teams of two. Truly deserving of the \u0091Iron Man\u0092 title, the British star also finished a magnificent second overall on his pure stock Kawasaki machine \u0096 a remarkable achievement. \u0093America was such a great result, I was absolutely amazed when I came in to see the result\u0094, added Marmon, \u0093I\u0092d never done the Iron Man before so to finish second overall against two rider teams on modified skis was incredible. You really have to keep your concentration, at about 180 miles \u0096 after about three hours of constant riding \u0096 you really start hitting the wall. It\u0092s a major test. \u0093It\u0092s definitely one of the best things I\u0092ve done in recent years and I think I deserved the result. Each lap is 10 miles and you have to come in every four or five for refuelling.
