The hood is a two piece unit which makes for less expensive shipping (a very crucial fact). It weighs a total of 5,0lbs (2,3kg). The hood comes off easy in the front with Zues (quick release) fasteners for easy gas tank access. In the back the hood is bolted down to the original hoods mounting area. The hood costs $1000 USD and is available in black but also it can be left unpainted according to the customer\u0092s needs.
