The only change Chapin made to his test boat for the first test was the new watercooled housing. The baseline of the boat, which had a reprogrammed ECU with the rev limiter was set @ 9000 rpm, had 16.5 psi boost @ 8750 rpm with the stock housing. With the new housing, the engine now stays on the rev limiter with a boost of 18psi. Bill has to raise the rev limiter up to find out how much better it really is. But initial test is at least 1.5+ psi better and 200+ rpm. Not bad at all for first day testing. We are expecting to receive some pictures of his Supercharger soon so we will be able to reveal more information about it. R&D expects to raise the performance of the FZR platform vertically next year.
