This race being the longest continuous Personal Water Craft race in the world and most prestigious event of its kind and brings additional prestige and enthusiasm to the city. WHEREAS, Mr. Mark Hahn was a pioneer and strong advocate of Personal Water Craft endurance racing events and a great ambassador of the sport and the city. Mr. Hahn passed away at the young age of 53 during an event doing what he loved to do. The race is named in his memory by his friend and fellow racer Mike Follmer for his enormous contributions to the sport and attracts riders and teams from all over the world that come to compete in his memory in the Personal Water Craft Capitol of the World.WHEREAS, Lake Havasu City has enjoyed the economic benefits and added prestige of hosting this event in the name of Mr. Mark Hahn and become established as the Personal Water Craft Endurance racing destination where hundreds of competitors gather once a year to celebrate the life and memory of Mr. Mark Hahn and test their endurance in a 300 mile endurance race on our World Class Lake. Now, therefore, I, Mark S.
