When water gets pulled into the pump, the water boils (cavitates) as the impellor is only a half inch (.500\u0094) from the square edge. Field testing confirmed by eliminating the square edge the Cav-Fighter Sleeve reduced cavitation on holeshot acceleration and in hard turns.
