We went racing just 9 days after our founding and won, on July 10, 1955. We\u2019ve been active in the racing scene ever since. With the desire to produce even better products for our customers and deliver more Kando to the world, we\u2019ve worked hard and put our maximum effort into our racing. But at the same time, we\u2019ve enjoyed every moment. The goals have always been to improve our technology, to develop faster race machines, to fight close battles with our rivals on track, and with the cheers of fans across the globe at our backs, take that next victory. The feeling of Kando that comes with that is something difficult to put into words. Kando is a Japanese word for the simultaneous feelings of deep satisfaction and intense excitement that we experience when we encounter something of exceptional value. Yamaha began racing in the Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix in 1961, and we\u2019ve continued to do so because we want to achieve our goals, because we\u2019re always up for a challenge, and most of all because we love racing.
