The 3rd Annual Dana Point to Avalon Offshore Race presented by Sea-Doo & Sea-Tow sanctioned by the APBA was a tremendous success despite one of the roughest races in the history of the Triple Crown series! Congratulations to Craig Warner #1 Corona, CA Monster Energy/Kawasaki on the overall win and 1st in Pro-Am Open with a time of 1 hour 10 minutes and 55 Seconds. 2nd Place went to past Triple Crown Offshore National Champion Mark Gerner with a time of 1 hour 15 minutes and 35 seconds. Rounding out the podium in 3rd overall and in the Pro/Am Class was Eric Hardin #5 Anaheim, CA on his Kawasaki Ultra 300X crossing the line just 10 seconds behind Gerner with a time of 1 hour 15 minutes and 45 seconds. Story weather conditions, low visibility, moderate to high swells all made for a rough race that really tested the racers and equipment from start to finish. A big THANK YOU!!! to all of the sponsors that made the event possible: Sea-Doo, Sea-Tow, Kawasaki, Dana Point Jet Ski, Dana Point Shipyard, Mike Follmer Specialties, Gemmells.
