Cypriot rider George Darras had recently taken part in UIMs first race in Porto Vecchio, Corsica. He competed in Pro Runabout class on two-stroke XP and he managed to finish 15nth among so many faster and more competitive riders and race crafts. The crucial thing is that Cyprus Jet Ski Federation supported him financially to reach his goal. This is a very interested subject since we know some other Watercraft Association from another country that actually kept buzzing IJSBA in order to restrict certain rider to compete at the World Finals although the rider was the only one who had traveled from his country to USA with his own pocket money... These people from Cyprus Jet Ski Federation some one has to congratulate them.
