London, 4 July Britains premier offshore jet-ski racers are preparing to tackle their second new challenge in as many events on 14/15 July when the P1 AquaX Championship arrives in Eastbourne for round three of the 2012 season. After visiting Hull in East Yorkshire for the first time last month, the fast-paced high-octane motorsport series will make its maiden appearance in the Sussex seaside town just over a week from now as part of the hugely popular free sports festival, Eastbourne Extreme. Only a single point separates P1 AquaX Championship pace-setters Russell Marmon (Christchurch, Dorset) and Jim Goodchild (Hemel Hempstead) at the top of the 300 Class rider standings, with reigning champion Marmon edging ahead last time out on incredibly choppy waters in gale force conditions. Goodchild, who injured his ribs during the first of the two encounters in Hull following a heavy landing, will be keen to return to winning ways in Eastbourne but the two Kawasaki aces will have to keep an eye on Londoner Kevin Ashley (pictured above by Gary Bray) who starred in East Yorkshire with his first victory.
