Competition wise the race was very tough although that the water conditions seemed to look ideal from the shore. It was Craig Warner from Team Kawasaki who took the lead in the first place and nearly half or so way MacClugage, Pastorellos team mate was sent flying into the water and had to swim some distance to regain his boat while chasing Warner. After this crash MacClugage had to settle down his pace in order to give the Team the chance to benefit from Warners charging issues and take the lead. Finally, MacClugage crossed the finish line with a Champions style and Team Pastorello won the 1st Overall place in the General Standings and in Pro Class.
