>Test: Kommander Spring Tensioner (tall)

We tested the Tall Spring Tensioner of Kommander Ind. on a Limited SX-R which was previously equipped with a JSU (high) spring tensioner. The fact is that the particular tensioner provides exactly the same spring preload since they both share the same height of 3,1cm and the same tuner (Steve Webster). In terms of design it differs a lot and looks much simpler. We applied a load on it and we found out that a force of 14kg was needed in order to lift the spring from its rest surface. Using it on a stock SX-R pole makes it feel much lighter and mimimises the riders input on holding the pole. We also tested it on a Superstock SX-R that was equipped with an RRP pole and in this case we found out that it makes it far too light, a fact that reduces the feeling. It depends on the riding style of each rider whether he will use it on such application. The design is clear and nice and the black anodizing enhances the overall aesthetics. The rider who uses the stock pole will find it very usefull and it is a "good value for money" accessory. Kommander Ind Tall Spirnd Tensioner part# KOM-104-Tall is available through KommanderInd.com
