>Riva and TBM, joint effort

Back in 2007 when the Ultra 250X was introduced Riva Racing was advertising their scoop grate version, a product that took almost two years to see it coming available in the market. TBM had introduced its adjustable version in 2009 for 260X and most probably the two companies decided to re-launch the later (with different holes that will incorporate the larger bolts needed) in a joint effort. Riva’s fully tunable Top-Loader Intake Grate for the Ultra 300 features an adjustable foil & removable rear inlet chip. Developed through a joint effort with TBM Racing, this grate provides riders with the ability to tune for specific riding style or water conditions. The center foil has three positions or can be removed entirely. In flat water conditions it can be raised to the highest position increasing speed .5mph. Or be removed completely producing the same speed as the stock grate. The deeper center bars and removable rear inlet chip dramatically improve handling and hook up. The rear inlet chip can be removed or used with or without the center foil. What makes us wonder in the first place is why Riva Racing decided to ditch their initial scoop grate version?
