Yamaha usually unveils its new watercraft lineup in August and this year Yamaha enthusiast will be looking forward to see if the new four-stroke SuperJet will be included. The fact is that the company is doing more testing regarding the four-stroke SuperJet especially now that they have the new Kawasaki 1500 SX-R to make some comparison testing. We were informed through a reliable source that the new four-stroke will be launched by Yamaha in a years time, i.e. in 2018 so it will be in the showrooms for 2019. However, it will not be equipped with the three-cylinder TR-1 engine but with a new four-stroke motor. We also know that this engine was recently an 1000cc four-stroke however the company might decide to increase the displacement since the Kawasaki uses a 1500cc motor. At the time being the only Yamaha powered stand-ups that are very close to the high quality of the manufacturers standards are the Kommander Industries GP1 skis which are available with a TR-1 engine in Natural Aspirated or turbopowered version.
