Monster Energy IHRA World Cup

Monster Energy IHRA World Cup Set to Take Over Lake Havasu September 15–20

LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ. — The countdown is officially on for the inaugural Monster Energy IHRA World Cup, as five days of international personal watercraft racing, action sports and entertainment head to Lake Havasu State Park, September 15–20, 2026.

With racing across amateur, veteran and professional divisions, alongside Closed Course, Endurance and Freestyle competition, IHRA is preparing for one of the strongest and most diverse racing lineups fans will see on the water all year.

Monster Energy has a long history of supporting action sports and some of the world's leading athletes and events, making the partnership a natural fit as IHRA looks to establish the World Cup as a major international event on the watercraft racing calendar. They will have a significant on-site presence throughout the week, bringing its activation rig to Lake Havasu and sampling throughout the event.

Then, when racing concludes on Friday, the entertainment will continue with a Monster Energy concert Friday night, bringing competitors, fans and the Lake Havasu community together away from the racecourse.

The inaugural World Cup is also being made possible with the support of Anderson Powersports, Yamaha, Jettrim, Go Lake Havasu, Lake Havasu State Park, among others helping bring the international racing community to one of the most iconic personal watercraft destinations in the world.

With Lake Havasu's history in the sport and its reputation as a destination for water recreation and action sports, there are few places better suited to host the first Monster Energy IHRA World Cup.

A Fan Zone Packed With Action

Fans will have plenty to experience between races throughout the five-day event.

The World Cup Fan Zone and Vendor Village is set to feature a large collection of personal watercraft and action-sports brands, including Yamaha, Jet Trim, JTPLT, Fast Powersports, Bomber Eyewear, Fast Powersports, Stubby's BBQ, Twisted Traction, Marine One, HSI and many more, giving spectators the opportunity to see products, meet representatives from throughout the industry and experience the wider personal watercraft community.

Traxxas RC Cars will also be bringing its sales semi to Lake Havasu and creating an RC test track in the pits, allowing fans to get hands-on with Traxxas vehicles throughout World Cup week.

Monster Energy's activation and sampling will add another major element to the Fan Zone, while a variety of vendors and displays will ensure there is something happening away from the water throughout the event.

FMX Comes to the World Cup

The action won't be limited to personal watercraft.

On Saturday and Sunday, fans will be treated to Freestyle Motocross demonstrations, bringing another high-energy action sport into the World Cup weekend.

Between world-class racing, FMX, the Monster Energy concert, brand activations, vendors and the Traxxas RC test track, the goal is to create an event that fans can spend the entire day experiencing — rather than simply coming to watch a race.

Competitors from multiple countries are expected to make the trip to Arizona, joining racers from across the United States for what is shaping up to be one of the most exciting personal watercraft racing events of 2026.

Whether you're coming to compete, watch the racing, experience the Fan Zone or simply spend the weekend enjoying Lake Havasu, September 15–20 is going to be a week you won't want to miss.

Limited opportunities are still available for vendors, sponsors and VIP viewing areas at the Monster Energy IHRA World Cup.
