Kawasaki Jet Ski SX-R 1500 2027

Kawasaki may have not announced officially the discontinuation of the  SX-R 1500 however, it is well known that the dealerships have not seen a 2026 unit coming out of the production line. One the other hand the Japanese manufacturer and  founder of the stand up ski had spent a substantial budget to build and race a Factory Kawasaki 1500 SX-R in the World series and win the title leaving behind many well-known other aftermarket hull manufacturers. Being more specific Kawasaki has made an agreement with an Offshore company and built four race hulls that were heavily modified in order to meet the Kawasaki standards. Jimmy Wilson and Jon Phan won the world title in two different classes however, Kawasaki all of a sudden decided not make any official press release. Meanwhile the rumors of a new 1500 SX-R for 2027 are getting more specific regarding that race hull used in 2024 and 2025. Therefore, we at Jetskiworld.gr are assuming that Kawasaki will be launching this new 1500 SX-R based on its world title winning hull. Additionally the new Jet Ski will be equipped with the electronic fly-by-wire throttle as being used on the STX-160X with great results. Photo courtesy: Team Kawasaki Jet Ski Racing
