>Two-stroke pipe history

Today I happened to see a two-stroke pipe made nearly 20 years ago for the Yamaha SuperJet by R&D. After so many world and national titles previously won by using this pipe on Yamaha’s. Riders like Nicolas Rius, Victor Sheldon, Chris Fischeti used it on a Polaris and Alberto Monti. I was so surprised when I found out that Theo Beaumer and Joulie Baulteau won three World Titles last week by using exactly the same two-stroke pipe.

>Kommander K1R Turbocharged TR-1 Ski exclusive test

Kommander and R&D after having the new Yamaha TR-1 Turbocharged engine along with the complete K1-R ski for display at the Jet Connection booth in the Performance Alley they brought it to the Body Beach, of Lake Havasu city for testing. Kommander crew (Steve Webster, Dustin Motzouris and Tyron Motzouris), Bill Chapin of R&D, Quinten Bossche (IJSBA Pro Ski Modified 2016 #3) and Vasilis Moraitis of Jetskiworld.gr where invited to test the new Yamaha Turbocharged Ski. Multi National and World Champion Dustin Motzouris run some demonstration laps in a high speed mode that made the KR-1 Turbocharged ski look and sound as Bill Chapin said as F16 aircraft flying by compare to anything else that was running on the lake today. After the short warm up by Motzouris then, the ski was handed first to Vasilis Moraitis of Jetskiworld.gr to test it. After running it for a few laps he came back to the shore and the first comment was “We have never rode/test something like this that performs so well and 91 pump gasoline!” Bossche had a go for a few laps too and he looked very comfortable and he was up to speed blasting buoys and mastering the handling of the ski fairly quickly. When he arrived back he was specifically asked by Bill Chapin (attentive to his comments) what would he change to that ski. After we heard his comments Bill Chapin turned to Steve Webster and said “Just this? We can adjust that in 10 minutes.” Top speeds were very impressive however all the details will be unveiled in the complete story which will be published shortly.

>Gyorgy Kasza, winner of Pro Runabout Modified

Gyorgy Kasza proved ones again that not only has the best Racecraft but also that he can ride it to the limit for the whole race. Not to mention that he started in one moto with a dead engine due to a penalty and still he managed to finish first. It was sad to see Factory Kawasaki rider Craig Warner being lapped when in the past he was up in the front. Therefore, Kasza wins back to back Pro Runabout Modified for second consecutive year.

>Poret wins Pro Ski Open

Three motos were more than enough for the world title to be decided. The main riders that way ahead from the pack were Shotaro Kokubun, Toshi Ohara and Jeremy Poret and the three of them were ridding different stand-ups. Poret and Kokubun finished 1-2 in Moto 1. In Moto 2 Poret cruised to take another win when Kokubun fell off in the first buoy and made an incredible ride to finish eighth ahead of Ohara who also had some issues. In Moto3 things were even better for Poret although Kokubun tried his best to pass him. Jeremy Poret clinched the world title with Kokuban in second place and Quinten Bossche in third.
