>Reiterer reports from Croatia

Porec, Croatia - The seaside town Porec hosted the first race of the European Championship last weekend. Besides Jeremy Poret (FRA) and Nacho Armillias (ESP) the best of the best arrived in Croatia for the first battle of the season. It was the first major test for Reiterer on a new boat and engine setup. Strong winds and waves brought the athletes to their physical limits. The Austrian won GP2 in front of Nacho Armillias (ESP) and his team member Daniel Andersen (NOR). A solid third place finish behind Stian Schjetlein (NOR) and Jeremy Poret (FRA) held Reiterer on the reach for another title. “I am not satisfied with the performance of the things we worked on in the off season. There is more work to do to reach the full potential of our setup. However, this weekend’s experience brought a lot of results to our team” explains the young Austrian. In four weeks, the World Cup takes off in south of Italy on another open sea race with unpredictable conditions.

Jeremy Poret (FRA), Nacho Armillias (ESP) and Kevin Reiterer (AUT) will be present to fight for the title. The Austrian has some final tests to undergo before heading to Croatia. “I am physically ready for the season and can’t wait for the rubber band to snap! Just some more tests and stuff to do before getting on the line!”, says the 23 year old athlete. Last weekend Reiterer got invited to Latvia for a training camp. “To win races is amazing but to have the chance to give something back to people and see them fulfilled and content just with being present is a huge motivation! I hope I can have more training camps in the future.” explains Kevin. We are excited if the Austrian can continue his winning strike and repeat his 1-1 result of last year’s race and we are wishing the most successful motorsports athlete of Austria best of luck.
