The pictured sponsons were used by a particular rider (and team) at the Akropolis Jet Raid in Greece. Actually the rider replaced them with a different set since those ones had not been tested extensively. Their unique design makes them much lighter than other adjustable sponsons we have seen for the Ultra. The backing plate is also adjustable in three different positions. At the moment we have not been informed yet about the price and the availability of the particular sponsons.

Frenchman Jean-Bruno Pastorello clinched his 5th consecutive Akropolis Jet Raid title this year. He rode in a class of his own in the last day’s four offshore motos and also he dominated the last close course race moto which was held in Glyfada, of Athens. Cherici had and awesome day and he took the second place back from Alain Martin. A great day of racing for both riders. Meanwhile local rider and multi National champion of Greece, Akis Malouchos got blocked at the start of the close course race however he worked his way through the course by riding in an outstanding style and he finished third. A great achievement since he had to pass some very fast race crafts. The five days event will be featured day by day in the features section my Monday morning.

The rough weather conditions and the wavy sea from Sounio to Mati forced Jet Raid Organization to move to plan B and cancel one of the motos. In other words riders had to go from Glyfada to Mati and back a total distance of 176km. In the first Moto Cherici, Martin and Pastorello top the first three. Cedric had an issue and lost time while Vidal and Gonzalvez had a low pace. On the way back Pastorello was riding in a class of his own and finished first. Cherici DNFed due to a mechanical issue and gave the opportunity to Alain Martin to climb to the second place of the Classification. Pastorello is very close to clinch the title in F1 Class and the General Classification.

Jean-Bruno Pastorello will leave from Mylos as a winner since yesterday - Tuesday - he climbed to the top of the General standings by arriving with the best timing in Mylos.

Manou Cherisi experience an issue with one of the water hoses of his Kawasaki prior reaching Sounio on his way to Kythnos Island. He was forced to stop in the middle of nowhere in order to repair the problem and continue his racing effort. The assistant boat of the race support program approached him but he had almost fixed the hose and he followed the other racers.
