Too much timing on his Jetskiworld from Australia Ultra was the reason that made his engine brake down and put an end his tries to get a good finish. Eric Francis hopes for the best in Pro Stock Runabout which he will compete on this weekend. So Pro Runabout Limited was a race to forget for him. However, Eric keeps his positive momentum and looks forward to the next race.

President of Hot Products USA Mr. Scott Saito paid a visit to Rick Roy’s booth at the World Finals to take a look at the new Edge hulls. Rick and Scott are good friends and they have a healthy cooperation.

There is a lot of talking for Kuwait Team of ProRider Shop at the World Finals this year. The riders of this Team won so far two classes and got three podiums. Mohammed Burbayea won Expert Runabout Open on his Νο 66 RXP-X, a great result especially if you realize that this rider was competing on a Limited boat in the Open class. The second win for the Team came from Mohammed Al-Baz in Expert Runabout Limited on his No 38 RXP-X. Mohammed Burbayea also climbed to second place of the podium in Pro AM Runabout Limited on his RXP-X. The team got another two podium finishes: a second place in Expert Runabout Limited and a third place in Expert Runabout Open. The main sponsors of Kuwait Team are: Kuwait Finance House, Zain Telecom, Pro Rider High Performance Shop, Kuwait Sea Sports Club, and the Public Authority of Youth and Sports of Kuwait.

GP Ski class appeared to be very interesting this year. The competition level has been raised a lot since last year and the well dialed four-strokes appeared to be unbeatable by the three-cylinder SX-Rs. Canadian Superstar Mike Klippenstein took the holeshot and the lead however he got exhausted and got pasted by Motzouris and Reiterer. Motzouris who worked his way through from sixth place experienced some issues with the ON/Off switch of his Hydro and one lap before the end of the race he babbled due to this issue and Reiterer passed him. Reiterer took advantage of the situation and worked his way through to the finis line.

This year IJSBA Hall of Fame got a new member, Bob “Phamous” Phare. He was one of the Kawasaki employees that took part in Kawasaki’s Jet Ski promotion program back in the seventies. He was also features in the first Kawasaki poster for the Jet Ski. Bob and the Kawasaki crew were driving around selected areas in the USA in order to promote the new sport of Jet Skiing.
