Canadian multi National and World Champion Mike Klippenstein worked closely with R&D in order to complete the set up of his Offshore FX SVHO. Bill Chapin of R&D worked a lot on mapping settings on two different reprogrammed ECUs and also they tried some experimental repitched impellers. His boat is doing over 78mph on a safe rpm range.

>R&D’s ECU for FZR tested

It is amazing how the performance of a watercraft can be changed with a reprogrammed ECU. We had the exclusive opportunity to test two different ECU mappings for the brand new Yamaha FZR SVHO. A map for Offshore racing and another one for Close Course racing. The later increased the overall performance a lot more and the top speed of the craft reached 84.6mph in Pro Stock set up. Chris Hagest owner of ProwatercraftRacing gave us the unique opportunity to test ride his wife’s SX-R which was recently completed and it is equipped with all brand new ProwatercraftRacing performance and body parts. The particular craft was set with the front and rear sponsons as well as a prototype ride plate and brand new handlepole and nose piece and the Jettrim ergo mat kit. >R&D’s Spark goes 60mph

Sea-Doo Spark 60hp edition barely touches the mark of 42mph of top speed. It is an Entry Level watercraft however many pwc users out there will seek for better performance. R&D has been working extensively and quietly on this boat and invited us to test its overall performance. Therefore, we tested the R&D Spark kit which consists of: Intake grate, Sponsons, trim tabs, air filter kit and a reprogrammed ECU. Its top speed went up to 60mph and the overall handling was exceptional. The compete test and parts evaluation will be published on a story in the Tests section soon. Stay tuned.

Canadian multi National and World Champion Mike Klippenstein he will race at Mark Hahn a Yamaha WaveRunner. The deal was made last year and the Canadian champion was shown up at Body beach with his watercraft testing a few parts. He is pictured with Bill Chapin and Glenn Dickinson from R&D working out a few details regarding the ECU mapping, nozzle setting, and prop details. Klipper is famous not only for his multiple wins but also for the fact that always he is races fast crafts.
