Isle of Man TT star Michael Dunlop had to be rescued from the sea following a pwc incident in Douglas bay on the island on Saturday afternoon. The Northern Ireland rider, who won four races at the event, got into difficulties along with team sponsor Martin Marlow after the pwc capsized some distance from the shore off Douglas head. The pair were unable to restart the machine and began to push the jetski back towards land until they were rescued by the RNLI around an hour later after friends raised the alarm. A large crowd of bystanders had gathered on Douglas promenade to watch the drama unfold but Dunlop took it all in his stride and was joking about the incident as he was pulled to safety. The 24-year-old made the 2013 Isle of Man TT his own, winning the Superbike and Superstock races plus both Supersport events to boost his tally of Mountain wins to a magnificent seven.
