The cash prize money of 30.000 US dollars is a temptation, a true challenge especially nowadays that things are getting tougher and tougher. The last time that Farthing was spotted at the World Finals practicing on a Ski was back in 2007 when he was ridding a S4 with a 950 Miller engine in it. Junior Star Program was initially started by the Hagest brothers and especially Chris was devoted a lot into this project. To help and give to young riders the basics and what is needed to get in to personal watercraft racing. It is true that the sport needs new blood and only the ones that know what is needed, they can actually dictated those kids. Though, Chris a lot of responsibilities to his main business, Low and Mean, therefore he was looking for a while for someone to support this idea. Nedra Atwood is well known by every single racer who visited Havasu or the World Finals. According to Chris Nedra who is devoted on supporting the sport she will carry on this project. We wish her best of luck on her new responsibilities.

>Rius on training

Multi World and National Champion Frenchman Nicolas Rius was spotted in Havasu Fitness training after his recent accident. Rius suffered an incredible crash during a routine speed run and testing of a racing Runabout. The result was 10 rib fracture towards the back. According to Kay Sykes report on Today’s News-Herald Nicolas starts his training early in the morning with weight lifting and cardio exercise and in the evening he is working on his core strength doing mixed martial arts. Nicolas plans to race Pro Ski Open in order to claim the $30.000 prize money and possibly Pro Runabout too, depending on his physical condition. Rius has not practiced on the water yet but he plans to return in full mode next week (3rd week of September).
