>2011 Mark Hahn 300, by Mike Follmer

On February 26, 2011 the 7th Annual APBA Hot Products Mark Hahn Memorial Havasu 300 Team Endurance Race took place in Lake Havasu with a great success. 48 combined stand up and runabout PWC’s entered the race making the race very competitive. I would like to personally thank Jim Russell and the entire staff at DSM Events for their unprecedented success in orchestrating this event. Without people like Jim Russell and Ross Wallach, I doubt we would enjoy such flawlessly carried out events. Shawna Thorton and her scoring team once again did a outstanding job of keeping track of all 48 boats.Eric Rudedog Graff for all his time and support I want to personally thank each and every racer that participated in this very special seventh annual event. Without each and every one of you and your teams, this event would not happen. It is only through the gracious generosity of our sponsors that we are able to provide such an extensive selection trophies, awards and promotional items and prize money,s. >R&D’s VXR Stage 1 kit tested

Two days before the Mark Hahn 300 race we worked along with R&D’s personnel and we tested exclusively the new Stage 1 kit that was developed for the VXR and was initially put to Aero Sutan Aswar Yamaha in order to race it. The fact that Aero smoked a lot of Supercharged and Turbocharged crafts and managed to finish seventh overall and first in the Natural Aspirated class proves a lot. Read the complete test and product report under the Race Tests section.

>SX-R with 15F engine

Japanese company Sato Engineering Speedmagic made its magic ones again. Last year he had succeeded on putting an STX-15F engine inside a Kawasaki X-2. This year the company challenges Kawasaki ones again by presenting its latest project a four-stroke SX-R, in other words an SX-R equipped with a 15F motor. Isn’t that cool? The pictured was found at Tech514 blog spot.

>The Ski class winner of Mark Hahn

Kern, Sanchez and Hagest were the winners of the Stand Up class. They managed to put a reliable package and ride consistently through out the whole race and completed 17 laps, i.e. 170miles. They were very close with Fetke-Hardenberger-Youn that finally finished second. A great achievement under those really tough water conditions. The Stand Up guys never had a chance to seat down and have a rest during the 10mile lap in comparison with the Runabout riders that they were resting for a while at the calm side of the course.
