>A dedicated front cover

Japanese magazine, World Jet Sports dedicated its recent front cover to the last stand up Jet Ski that Kawasaki produced this year closing a big chapter in the history of Jet Ski after serving 37 years on the water. There is still a lot of talking about the most wanted four-stroke stand up of the Green Team hitting the market next year. We know that the Akashi factory has been working closely to it with its American part though the market of stand ups is shrinking every year so most likely we are not going to see it coming in 2012. On the other hand we believe that since Kawasaki has pioneered the Ski class most probably wants to continue its presence to it so we have this feeling that the Green Factory will make the first move among the Japanese manufacturers and will produce the four-stroke Ski next season. Most likely Yamaha will make its move too since they are working on this project too.

>Jeff Jacobs’s 10 world titles

There is no question about the fact that Jeff “The Jammer” Jacobs was the most talented and phenomenal rider in Pro Ski class. Among his many records, National Titles and wins his outstanding record of ten (10) IJSBA World Titles in Pro Ski class is an unrepeatable record. According to the results we have seen the last 10 years it appears difficult or even out of mind of a young rider to accomplice such a record. There are many young gun out there but also some very capable veterans that still appear very strong in this class. This year our camera captured the Legend of Pro Ski Class Jeff Jacobs (right) while he was chatting with Don Baynes of Kawasaki. He was probably the only top rider of the nineties that he had refused to participate in both Pro Ski and Pro Runabout although the manufacturers were putting lots of pressure to the riders.

>Jettribe at Daytona Freeride 2011

The Jettribe Crew is making the trek from California to Florida again for the Daytona Free Ride. Many thanks to Nick Foederer of the freeride event and the local life guards for making last year's event so cool, and that is why we are coming back. We also thought it was cool that this is a charity freeride and that all proceeds will go to the Volusia County Jr. Lifeguards! With diesel fuel being at $3.65 this week and the drive being about 2700 miles, our fuel tab will add up pretty quick. But being among friends and riders for 3 days…priceless! Doan N. (Boss Lady) will join the Jettribe booth from Maryland to make sure that Jettribe sales are at a record high. For those free riders who missed out on our Jettribe RS-15 race boots, full ride suits, and side entry vests, we will have a limited amount on hand, so first come first sold! Derek Correll will haul the Jettribe II rig from North Carolina to hook up with the Jettribe crew so that we can offload some Jettribe gear for Derek to sell at some local races. Tony Vo from California will be available to clean up the beach ensure no beer bottles or cans are left behind. Jettribe for the first time since the King's Cup will meet up with our Jettribe Team USA race crew that we traveled with to Thailand to hook up and shoot the breeze! We will also be hooking up with Trey Frame from Black Star Racing to go over some top secret projects for 2011. More to come? Well you’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store for Jettribe this season! For more info check out our website at jettribe.com or check out the event site at daytonafreeride.com
