>Anya Colley: The female rocket

There is no doubt about the fact that the young British rider Anya Colley is the girl to beat this year. She has been racing from one moto to the other and still she manages to be ahead of everyone else (men or women), simply be riding in a class of its own. She has been shown much stronger than last year and she gets better and faster lanes in the race course. We hope to see her playing key role in Pro Am women Ski on the last weekend of this racing week.

Chief Commander Steve Webster co-owner of Jet Ski Unlimited is no longer at the Phoenix based company. The well known and reputable engine builder and tuner decided to turn a new page in his life and create his own business under a new name, Kommander Industries. Webster plans to focus on designing and producing special aftermarket products as well as on supporting various riders from all over the world. Additionally, he plans to promote the sport of person watercraft racing. His new business will be based in Phoenix and soon he will soon release the address and the details of the new premises.

>Lee Manvel: The modified-hull man

Lee Manvel is the man behind all of those modified hulls that shown up in Lake Havasu City during the World Finals. He had glass them all. The recipe involves a Kawasaki STX-15F bottom with a Sea Doo, Yamaha or Ultra top. You name it and he will do it. That is why most of these hulls use R&D ride plate and trim tabs. According to Lee Manvel the 15F hull has a great potential and it is very stable at high speeds (85+mph).

APDesigns recently released a new series of mats and pads for Ski’s and Runabouts with the Kawasaki and Monster logos as well as the original APDesigns graphics. Frenchman world champion Brice Lopez will defend his world title in GP Ski class this year. He will be racing an S4 hull will a Sea Doo engine in it and lots of tricky parts on the transmission. Last years freestyle champion Japanese rider Watanabe Fumikazu showed up in Body Beach on a new race craft performing new tricks and a quadruple Rickter invert. He looks favorite for the title and his effort support: Fennec, Maekawa Engineering, 23 Factory, GWF, Gaku Factory, Alpha Marine Shop, Factory Zero and Bun Freestyle.

>Flores on a Standabout

Famous racer Rob Flores will compete in GP Ski class by using a Kawasaki hull (and deck with a triple 2T Kawasaki engine in it. Rob “Flow” Flores simply calls it “Standabout”. He used a modified triple engine that it is way to powerful for the driveline and finally he will use a stock triple engine with mild tuning. He is supported by: Raceski.com, Walt’s motorsports and Hydro Turf. He owes special thanks to his friend Minoru Kanamori.
