The APBA is excited to announce that Hydro-Turf, the PWC Industry leader in performance traction products, has signed on as the Title sponsor of the 2008 APBA National Tour including the 2008 APBA Watercross Nationals in Nashville. In 2007, Hydro-Turf stepped up to the plate as the title sponsor of the APBA Watercross Nationals and this year provides an even larger commitment to the sport of personal watercraft racing by signing on as the National Tour title sponsor. The Hydro-Turf sponsorship will greatly enhance the professionalism of the APBA Watercross National Tour and is a very positive for the sport. The Hydro-Turf National Tour is a six-stop eleven-round National series for Closed Course racing and Freestyle in the United States. The APBA National Tour and APBA Watercross Nationals are the largest attended PWC events sanctioned by the APBA. The events will be filmed and air on the Water Channel which is available on the DIRECTV satellite television network that broadcasts to more than 20 million homes.

For the first time the most important Rally Raid in jet-ski never realized to this day. From 8 till 17 November 2008. During 8 days, in the course of the stages made in villages, the participants will highlight their sports and human qualities. They will discover this fabulous territory: French Guyana and its ambassador le Maroni. Every team of two team members will have to go through, about 1500km offshore and on the river. From Cayenne, they will join high Maroni, Amerindian entity and brown blacks, that Amazonian forest frames legendary. Height days of race, navigation, speed, physical stamina, adrenalin, discovery, adventure… The Waki-Jet is definitively unique. Recently the official importer of Kawasaki Jet Ski in Greece, Teomoto A.E. announced the recall of Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 250X, with hull registration numbers US-KAW39001707 up to US-KAW39972707 in order to perform a service inspection of the following: The trigger throttle, the replacement of the immobilizer key, to fir a splash guard to the air intake of the supercharger and reroute the air hoses, and the spark plug replacement (due to initial high torque applied the ceramic material may have been damaged). The Kawasaki owners should contact the official importer or dealer in order to perform listed check up.

Last September it was officially announced by the Kawasaki importer in Greece, Teomoto A.E. that the second generation of Ultra 250X and Ultra 250LX would be available in Europe in blue and red colors respectively. Though, recently we found out that the popular green color (in Europe) edition will be available too. Up to now the Greek Importer has not announced yet the price of all Kawasaki models as well as the availability.

First grade high School student Valia MAlamatini, daughter of pwc racer and national champion Konstantino Malamatini prepared an assignment about personal water crafts for the Technical class. She gathered information from Jet Ski World, Kawasaki Importer Teomoto S.A. and various other sources in order to accomplice her objective. Her assignment is a remarkable example not only for its difficultness but for the fact that shows the athletic spirit and mentality within the family (her father is a pwc racer). We hope to see her practicing soon in the near future.

Frenchman rider of MotoGP Olivier Jacque is doing research and development work for Kawasaki Racing Team. When he is away from the track he practices occasionally on a Ski (actually an 800 SX-R) though, last year he had also an X-2 that he loved very much. He likes the sea and to play occasionally on the water with the Jet Ski. Olivier Jacque is one the few MotoGP riders that practices with personal water craft.

Recently, the newly formed company has released another accessory for Yamaha Super Jet. The handle pole pad is designed for the new Yamaha and is treated with a variety of mat design and colors. The quality and the design of the new mat look familiar with the Jettrim ones. Possibly Tech1Racing is cooperating with the Havasu based company.
