Junior World Champion of the 10-12 class, Brandon McMillan (USA), will be in Mirandela: Brandon and his older sister Lauren will compete with us in Mirandela, so European Juniors beware; this kid is not a novice! He is a respectable rider although his of young age. Last year he has shown a great motivation and skill at the World Finals. This young kid will show a lot more of his class in the future.

Hydrospace Sales manager Thomas Breuss visited Japan recently in order to get a deal with Japanese rider Masaharu Takanoshita. According to Thomas Breuss report, Takanoshite will race this season in Japan and at the World Finals on board of a kited Hydrospace S4 in Pro Ski Superstock.

This is not a production SuperJet made by Yamaha but the new race craft of multi world champion Nicolas Rius. He will compete with the particular SuperJet at the European Tour as well as at the World Finals in GP class. According to Rius Racing chief mechanic Christophe Girello the new craft utilizes a new 900cc engine. The team uses the same carbon hull that produced last year, though it has a new graphic design. For the time being Girello will not announce more of the tech specs of this craft but he assured as that is has a remarkable acceleration.

The Italian firm has released a new wetsuit for personal water craft riders recently. It is constructed from 3mm neoprene and it is totally redesigned. It utilizes a new cut round the neck, short sleeve and it has soft injected rubber inserts on knee and tibia. The close fit and ergonomic cut remains a unique feature of the new Dainese wetsuit. The Austrian personal water craft manufacturer has recently announced its cooperation with the Italian firm Benelli Motori (Pesaro/Italy). Hydrospace was the first personal water craft manufacturer who built a four stroke ski with pure race use orientation. Now, the Austrian personnel are working hard in order to produce a series of Runabout crafts which will be equipped with four stroke engines supplied by Benelli. According to a source from the Factory there will be three different engine packages available ranging from 160-300hp.

The IJSBA is pleased to announce two special World Championship classes at the 2007 quakysense World Finals. The IJSBA will be inviting the world’s top Runabout and Ski competitors to enter two special classes. The classes will allow modifications to the guidelines of the EJSBA’s GP Class. Eighteen riders will be invited for Runabout GP and twenty riders will be invited for Ski GP. Riders will enjoy a 90% payback in these classes which will each comprise of one qualifier heat and two motos. Qualifiers will take place on Friday, October 12. All motos will take place on Saturday, October 13. Ιnvitations are available to highly skilled Expert and Pro class racers only.
