>R&D success at the Hydrodrags Nationals

The Finals of the IJSBA US National HydroDrag Series were held in Tavares, Florida, and presented by RIVA Racing, HydroTurf, Blowsion, Yamaha, City of Tavares, Lake County, and Sea Doo. At the Hydro Drags this weekend R&D tuned boats did very well. Kerry Hibdon's (The Jet Shop) boats won Limited, Super Stock and Unlimited classes. In Speed Alley there was a new speed record set by Reggie from Game Over Performance on his GPR/SHO Turbo conversion, 106 mph. All these wins and records were with R&D Reprogrammed ECU's. In the Unlimited drag race class, the boat used was Kerry Hibdon's Super Stock boat and was races by Stan Hightower (Kerry's close friend). Kerry raced the Limited and Super Stock classes himself. Not bad.

James Masterton of Sydney Sea-Doo qualified 6th in circuit and 3rd in slalom for this weekend Asian Aquabike GP in China. Saturday/Sunday 20minute motos will be interesting according to his saying. James is competing on a RXP-X 300 tuned by Sydney Sea-Doo. Photo courtesy: James Masterton

We had the opportunity to take a few photos of Hajime Isahai’s Factory HKS Supercharged 1.8 liter engine. However, the Japanese team had two boats with different set ups. However we did not had the opportunity to find more information for this particular set up and the team was negative from the beginning regarding a possible test ride.

This was possibly one of the best action moves that the spectators saw on Saterday afternoon, when Chris MacClugage passed in the front straight away Mike Klippenstein and not only he finished first but also he was crowned World Champion of GP Ski class. An awesome pass from a World Class athlete.

The young rider from Japan decided to go for a last minute stretching before entering the course. Toshi is one of the most popular and nicest guys out there.
