2012 US National & World Champion Amateur Freestylist now turned Pro; Daniel Martin of X-scream, Jet Pilot, Hydro-Turf, Full Spectrum Carbs, Optima Racing, Grandbury Motorsports, Nasco steel, put on a tandem show with Jace Forest for the crowd, and Daniel Martin wowing them with 9 back flips in a row, and Jace Forest of Team X-scream, Lakeside Marina doing back flips, can cans and spiced it up with some old school tricks. On Sunday Mark Gomez sponsored by Hydro-Turf, Liquid Militia, Kommander Industries, KMG Racing, Impros, Mystik Lubricants Yamaha joined the duo and put on a nice series of old school plus some of the current tricks to take second in the amateur class. Congratulations to US Open of Watercross winner Troy Snyder in the Pro Freestyle class! In 2014 each of the US Open of Watercross champions; James Bushell, Chris Macclugage, Troy Snyder and Dan Martin will be honored at the Roasting of Champions (and poked fun at, at their expense) this is a great honor for competitor to be acknowledged as the best in their sport!

Team 88motorsport.fi left on Thursday with the scope to race in Sweden. Sammy Pajalin and his team mate are already in Sweden. We expect to hear from them soon and find out who did they go. We hope that he will be more lucky than he was in Greece at the Akropolis Jet Raid where he experienced some issues with the charging system of his well prepared Ultra.

Mark Gomez’s pictured with his Matrix Trinity Composites freeride boat which is prepared by Steve Webster of Kommander Ind. keeps us update with his latest race activities “Had a hell of a time at the Race in sparks! Got 3rd overall in expert GP ski class thanks to heavy Brian Edwards and Rusty Gewecke for letting race the Bullett Racing V2. I Got second place in amateur freestyle with Jace Forest and had a hell of a time racing myself in 550 vintage surprisingly taking 1st in that as well. Now, off to clear lake to meet with my mom and brother to pick up Tanner Thoma’s SuperJet, then meet with Chris Rosner and him in Spokane, WA. Then its off to Canada wooooo! Full throttle!”

Steve Webster has just returned from the National Tour race in Reno, Nevada and he gives us the details regarding the Ski classses. “We had a great weekend. We just finished a new Kommander Vector V-drive ski for David Redinger and this was out first race with it. He had the holeshot the first Moto and crashed and had to work his way from 14th to 7th place. Te second Moto he lead from start to finish with Macc behind him chasing hard the whole Moto. 3rd Moto he finished 2nd behind Macc for a second overall. Kody got 4th place and our girl rider Bibi Carmouche won all four motos of both the girls limited and men's limited class.” So is there is any update to the Vector V-Drive hull which is manufactured by Trinity Composites under Steve Webster’s spec? How similar is it to the one we, at Jetskiworld.gr, tested last year in Havasu? “Very similar. We have changes to the set up like a new intake grate and a new rideplate set up. Also there are some small changes to the hull but very minimum. We keep getting better and better with handling and speed. Have been testing a new engine set up also. Kody has been racing with it for the last 3 races and t seems really strong.”

The hits kept coming in Racine, WI, home of the Grand Prix of Watercross and Mother Nature helped us out on Sunday with spectacular weather and great riding conditions. In the Pro Runabout Open class James Bushell took two moto wins but had boat issues that cost him a finish in moto 2 which opened the door wide for Dean's Team Yamaha rider Abdullha Al-Fadhel to take the overall. The rider from Kuwait actually holeshot the field in moto 3 on board his factory Yamaha and led the first 6 laps before settling into second to protect his victory. Erminio Iantosca had a consistent weekend to take his Judge Motorsports Sea Doo to a second place finish. Eric Francis made a late charge in moto 3 on his Dave's Auto Body Kawasaki to take the final podium position.
