The AquaX 2012 Championship calendar has been released, with 2 new venues this season. This season AquaX UK will be contested by riders in three new classes whilst Championship Manager Lisa Barsby has added an all-new AquaX UK Cup in response to massive interest from potential new riders. The change in format is designed to make AquaX even more accessible so the AM and Elite categories are gone opening the new classes to all comers. Technically skis remain strictly stock except for handling modifications and like for like (no performance gain) replacement parts. The 2012 AquaX Championship Classes are as follows: AquaX 200 - modified 2-stroke & stock n/a 4-stroke 160bhp and below AquaX 250 - stock 4-stroke 250bhp and below AquaX 300 - stock 4-stroke 300bhp and below For more information please click here. Aero Sutan Aswar last year’s Iron Man of Mark Hahn 300 is under training with the scope to visit Havasu again and race Mark Hahn 300 aiming to regain the Iron Man title. He practices every day by riding to the Islands in Indonesia. The fact is that his younger brother Aqsa will race also for Iron Man title so Aero has to face his own brother in the race. Aero and Aqsa have not decided it yet which craft are going to use for the race, however they will be in a class of their own for sure. Last year, Aero won the NA class, the Iron Man title and he was the younger rider ever won the Iron Man title in Mark Hahn 300. He raced a Yamaha VXR specifically prepared by R&D.

IJSBA Membership- All riders (co-riders as well as primary riders) must hold a current IJSBA membership. It is your responsibility to show your current card at registration. If you are not a member, or your membership is not current you may pay for either a full year, or a single event membership at registration. This must be done prior to being arm-banded for the event. Membership for the year is $45, for the one day is $25. The IJSBA is declaring this an open event and allowing current APBA members to race without joining the IJSBA. You must present your current APBA membership card at registration or you must pay the IJSBA fee. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS.

Registration & Check-In - Registration will be conducted at Havasu Powersports, 1040 No. Lake Havasu Ave. from noon until 7 pm on Friday, Feb `24. http://havasupowersports.com/store-location.aspx Registration is only open by prior arrangement on Saturday morning. You must check in, sign the waivers in person, and be armbanded prior to setting up your pits. No arm-bands will be issued unless your entry is paid in full. Freerider Taylor Curtis demonstrates in a perfect style the principles of Freeride on a Rickter FSR craft. No matter how big the wave is Taylor has the solution and he knows how to deal in a safe, however a spectacular, manner under those circumstances. Last September he was the big surprise a Blowsion’s SurfSlam where he participated with a Rickter XF-S craft. As far as we know he is already preparing his new Rickter XFR craft.
