>Why Warner did not show at the final motos?

Most people even the Havasu spectators may not know what actually happened to two times IJSBA World Champion, Factory Kawasaki rider Craig Warner and did not show up on Sunday at the two motos of Pro Runabout Open. Warner had already qualified on Saturday morning by riding in a class of his own Team Kawaki’s STX-15 Supercharged. Though, on Saterday afternoon seeing the weather becoming rougher he decided to cancel his early date qualification and run the LCQ moto on the new, update of the STX-R. A loose exhaust tube was enough to made him stay away from the first four finishers and he ended up watching the race as a spectator. Part of racing is the factor of pure luck and for second year luck was not on his side. Though, Team Kawasaki was lucky enough to get the World Title of Pro Runabout Open back with Dustin Farthing.

>Farthing won Pro Runabout Open

Farthing got the title back for Team Kawasaki after a brilliant ride in the rough conditions that proved that the Kawasaki hull has an advantage under those conditions. Farthing rode his new Supercharged Kawasaki Ultra with great style and kept it safe in second moto. Team Kawasaki is the only pwc manufacturer who has won 4 world titles with a four-stroke engine.

Havasu spectators may not know this guy from Middle East but in Europe and World wide is well known for his experience and good results in F1 H2O Racing and Class 1 Racing (we saw him in Greece driving in a class of his own his very fast Victory Team boat). On board his very fast specially prepared race craft from Franco Dettori Nader Bin Hendi proved that he can withstand the pressure of Sam Harvey. It is nice to see new faces winning a World Title and we wish him the best in his future career in personal watercraft racing.

>New hull for Harvey

Last years IJSBA Pro Runabout World Champion Sam Harvey appeared on a new Sea Doo hull and not the “usual” GTI, the one he used the past three years. His race craft was very fast but some issues on the GP Runabout Class did not let him to win the title. Still he made a point with the overall set up and his good performance.
