Under the Ancient temple of Poseidon, God of Sea in Greek mythology the Akropolis Jet Raid 2010 will start and finish. In Roman mythology, Neptune (Neptunus in Latin) is the god of the Seas and Oceans, as well as the aquatic kingdom. Poseidon is his equivalent in Greek mythology. Neptune, the son of Saturn and Rhea was the brother of Jupiter and Pluto. Not being obliged to have descendants, Saturn ate his children when they were born. One day, Rhea gave birth to twins and wanted to save at least one of her children from the tragic fate that awaited them. She hid one in an Arcadian sheepfold and replaced him with a stone, which she wrapped in swaddling clothes. This was Jupiter, who later saved all his brothers and sisters. When Neptune divided up the universe between Jupiter and Pluto, Neptune's share was the sea, the islands and the shores. Greece is honoured to see the Jet Raid pilots exploring and challenging each other on the rough water of Peloponnesus and the riders themselves will be honoured to start and finish under the Ancient temple of Poseidon.

Today (2-9-2010) the CEO of Akropolis Jet Raid Manos Panoussis along with Race Director Bruno Casa, Akis Malouchos of Hellenic Jet Sports Boating Association and Vasilis Moraitis of JetSkiWorld.gr finished the long trip along Peloponnesus which was needed in order to finalize the crucial details of the race as well as to pick the reference way points of each stage. In the beginning of next week the final schedule of all Stages as well as the way points will be publish on www.jetskiword.gr along with the pictures of each place.

The magnificent view of Monemvasia Castle (North East parth of Peloponisos) which situated on the famous rock will have the opportunity to admire. This is one of the many great views of Greek landscape and sea that all riders will look at. Stay tuned for more.

Akropolis Jet Raid will pass through the famous Channel of Korinthos which is part of the overall adventure. We have cross the Channel of Korinthos back in 2004 along with OFSE (Inflatable boat Club) and the magnificent view of it from sea lever is something magical. Akropolis Jet Raid riders and crew will get a full experience of this unique combination of landscape and the 25m wide sea stripe. The world's greatest Watercraft Freeriders and racers are descending once again on Pacific City, Oregon for this year's top USA and International watercraft surf event which combines the second round of the IFWA Freeride World Championship Tour with the IJSBA Freeride World Cup and Motosurf Western Championship. The event will be held again at Tierra Del Mar Beach located just north of Pacific City and is free to the public on this wide expanse of beach. Pro and Amateur Freeriders will compete in a head to head double elimination format. A panel of professional judges will score them 50% for their wave surfing and 50% for their aerial maneuvers. Spectators will also witness exciting personal watercraft racing with the IJSBA MotoSurf Invitational. The top 20 Pro, Pro Am and Amateur wave racers in the country will battle it out in the challenging Pacific City Surf. Racers will compete in a multi-moto format of several laps through a buoy course requiring a balance of maintaining high speeds while making split second strategic maneuvers around buoys and rolling surf waves that are constantly being moved about by the pounding surf. This event is a weekend of non-stop surf action. The Freeride Qualifying will begin on Friday September 10th. Motosurf racing will take place on Saturday and Sunday Sept 11th and 12th. Don't miss this opportunity to witness the World's best freeriders and racers battling it out for their share of the glory in the Blowsion Surf Slam.
