Cypriot rider George Darras had recently taken part in UIM’s first race in Porto Vecchio, Corsica. He competed in Pro Runabout class on two-stroke XP and he managed to finish 15nth among so many faster and more competitive riders and race crafts. The crucial thing is that Cyprus Jet Ski Federation supported him financially to reach his goal. Dustin Farthing and Ryan Hardwick dominated the premier Pro Runabout Open class at rounds 3 & 4 of the APBA National Tour in Myrtle Beach, SC.Round 3 began with Dustin Farthing piloting his Supercharged Kawasaki Ultra to a massive holeshot well ahead of the rest of the field in Moto 1. Farthing would build upon his lead the rest of the race lapping the entire field. Moto 2 was much of the same with Farthing out front early and extending his lead throughout the race. With an unchallenged 1 – 1 moto finish, the defending National Champion proved that he is once again the man to beat in Pro Runabout Open. Moto 1 of Round 4 began with Farthing taking another commanding holeshot, leading the pack once again. Farthing maintained his lead for most of the race until the white flag lap, the fuel line on his Kawasaki unexpectedly became disconnected, due to the extremely rough water conditions, and this caused an early exit for the defending champ. Farthing’s teammate Ryan Hardwick went on to finish Moto 1 in second place. Moto 2 was the same story as the last few races with Farthing rocketing to yet another holeshot, but this time his teammate Hardwick was following close behind in second. The two Kawasaki riders continued to run some fast and consistent laps in the rough and choppy water conditions. Farthing would finish the moto lapping the field in first place and Hardwick would cross the finish line in second. Hardwick’s consistent 2 – 2 moto scores were enough to take the overall win for Round 4.
