Yamaha/Monster Freeride Australian Open Jetpilot is Proud to present the Yamaha/Monster Energy Freeride Australian Open for 2010. The event will be held on Saturday the 20th February with Sunday the 21st as a backup at Phillip Park, Main Beach on the Gold Coast. The event will once again coincide with the Australian powersports expo to be held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. The event will feature 20 of the best freeriders in the world with defending champion Pierre Maixent returning to defend his title, he will take on riders from the US as well as the best that Australia has to offer including last years runner up Nick Barton. So keep your eyes and ears open as more info comes to hand.

Steven Dauliach and the Dubai Jet Ski Racing Team had a lot of problems to make his racing ski running, then Steven will decide to enter with his back up ski that is more reliable but less performances, cause his racing boat wasn’t competitive. In the first moto, Kevin Reiterer got the Holshot in front of Omar Al Rachid who’s racing a very fast ski made by XBJ RACING, Alex Kim from U.S.A. start 3rd Ludo Caumont 4th and Steven Dauliach 5th. Kevin Reiterer won the first moto, Omar Al Rachid had to stop cause of a small technical problem happened, Steven finished 2nd, he passed Ludo Caumont and Alex Kim who get 3rd. In the second Moto was similar as the first one, Omar Al Rachid got the Holshot in front of Kevin Reiterer and Alex Kim followed by Steven Dauliach and Ludo Caumont 5th. Omar Al Rachid fall off and Steven passed Alex Kim, then Kevin Reiter won the moto 2, Steven Dauliach came 2nd Alex Kim 3rd Almur Bin Huraiz 4th, and Ludo Caumont had some technical’s problems. The winner of this First race of the 7 races which the championship comprises is Kevin Reiterer in front of Steven Dauliach, Alex Kim and Almur Bin Huraiz, Steven’s Teammate who rode very well. Steven offers a “big thanks” to XBJ RACING team DUBAI who spend a lot of hours on Steven equipment.

Mike Follmer, owner of R&D Factory Yamaha Team Follmer, announced today that he has entered two teams that will be aboard pair of new Factory Yamaha FZR Wave Runners in the Sixth Annual Hot Products APBA MARK HAHN MEMORIAL Havasu 300 Endurance Race being contested on February 27, 2010 on Lake Havasu in Arizona. This event will mark the second time that the new FZR Wave Runner, with its 1.8 liter supercharged Yamaha Marine engine, has been in endurance competition. This 300 mile 6 hour endurance race with its fuel stops and rider changes is the perfect place for the SHO FZR with its more powerful supercharged engine, that when coupled with its overall weight advantage makes it a superior competition package. Mike Follmer will be riding the team’s primary entry in the Pro Am 4-Stroke Open Class and will be once again sharing riding duties with Tony Beck, the owner of Walt’s Motorsports in Lake Havasu City, who is a long time supporter of this event. Walt’s will also be joining all the other Factory R&D Yamaha Team Follmer sponsors in providing support for the team's effort to once again try to capture the overall championship for Yamaha. The team’s second entry will compete in the 4-Stroke Stock Class with the all female and all Lake Havasu resident team of Nicky Goudreau and Lark Schmitt. Nicky and Lark finished 2nd in Class and 12th overall last year on a SHO this year will be there first time on the new FZR. They have raced in this event since its beginning. They both have carried away several APBA National Class Championships, and have distinguished themselves as champions on stand-up and sit-down PWC’s in APBA Regional and National closed course events. The APBA is excited to announce the newest Tour stop on the 2010 APBA Watercross National Tour - Belle River, Canada. It has been more than 10 years that a National event has been held in Canada and the APBA is excited to see racing return to Eastern Canada. The event will take place on July 17-18, 2010 at Lakeview Park in Belle River Canada. The 2010 APBA Watercross National Tour will also have stops in Parker, Arizona - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Harbor Beach, Michigan; Colonial Beach, Virginia; and finish off the season with the APBA Watercross Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee. The APBA is searching for one more West Coast stop to complete the 2010 schedule. The APBA has worked hard, together with its race promoters, to find some of the best race sites in the country with nice beaches, clean water and fun locations. The 2010 National Tour will have over $90,000 in cash and prizes up from grabs in 2010.
