Greek rider Manos Panoussis who was born in Lakamata and resides in Belgium has a long history in Jet Raid including a win on a Kawasaki Ultra 150. He did not compete last year due to fact that he lost his brother though this year he has come back stronger and ready to hunt the win. He will be riding an SHO prepared by Audemar and in Brasil he will have along his mechanic Laurent Bycot of Jet Max. His race craft features a stock engine with an upgrade cooling system, a lighter hood, a Magnum pump with a new impeller, twin cables for throttle and trim and R&D Sponsons. This year Panoussis is sponsored by: ISO D.M. Bacardi, Planet Video, Mondial Red, Le Prestige Events, Audemar and Jet Max. We hope that he will bring it back home... with the number one plate.

IFWA is start accepting the registration of the 11th annual Jet Waves World Championship, October 23rd-25th, 2009. The event will be held this year at new location Picarrasm Santa Catarina, 100km north of Florianopolis. The beach is a shore break type and the action will be closed to the public. The world’s top personal watercraft (PWC) and Jet Ski? racers just received a big boost from Monster Energy as the Corona, Calif. – based energy drink company announced that it has signed on as the presenting sponsor for the 2009 International Jet Sports Boating Association’s (IJSBA) quakysense World Finals, presented by Monster Energy, held Oct. 10-18 at the Crazyhorse Campgrounds and Resort in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. In addition to its presenting sponsorship role, Monster Energy also features two of the world’s top IJSBA stars in defending Pro Runabout champ Craig Warner and former World champs Chris MacCluggage and Dustin Farthing, along with South African racer Dustin Motzouris. Motzouris recently got into Monster Energy’s family and shown up a supported rider at Blowsion’s Surf Slam. >Dauliach wins his 5th European title

The last race of the 2009 European Championship was at JetSki Village, near to Paris. Steven was leading the championship in front of Kevin Reiterer n°90. Christopher Courtois won the first moto. He is fast and the track didn’t let possiblities to fight and offer a show to the public. Steven finished second, and still leading the championship. He understood that the title was between Courtois and him. Kevin Reiterer did not succeed on coming back after a bad start. The second moto was led by Christopher Courtois, Steven was 3rd and still he was leading the championship because Reiterer was far behind Steven and did not take enough points. Courtois was far in front, and the second, De Sousa, try not to let Steven pass him. But finally, Steven passed, and managed to come back just behind Courtois, who won the moto. At the 3rd moto, Steven had a bad start again, and started the race 4th. Courtois is in front again and at this time, Steven could be 2009 European champion. He didn’t push too hard to avoid any mistakes and to make chances to win the title. Steven finished 3th. Christopher Courtois won the last moto and the week-end. Steven finished 2nd and won his 5th European title.
