To all riders and teams: Right now the closest airport that still operates is Utapao airport. This airport is located in Rayong (About 30 minutes to Pattaya). If is possible please check with any airlines in your countries that there are flight to Utapao airport or not. Some riders catch a flight to Singapore and then connect to Utapao airport. There is another choice, in case there is no flight to Utapao airport, you can fly to Chiang Mai or Phuket and take a van or bus to Pattaya. Hope this information is useful for you and please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further information. We would like to announce the postponement of the event schedule as followed: Thursday 4 & Friday 5 December 2008: registration day, Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 December 2008: Racing 3 motos. About the closure of the airport in Thailand, from news the airport might be opened again this Saturday evening or Sunday. For your convenience to rearrange your flight, most likely we try to postpone the event schedule as followed: Thursday 4 & Friday 5 December 2008 - registration day, Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 December 2008. : Racing 3 motos. >Jet Raid 2008: The meeting of pilots and the schedules

The first meeting of pilots will be in Las Sombrillas at the 17,30 hours in the carp of events. The presence is obligatory and in the same one they were besides ` to present to the new competitors, of the technical topics of security and of the different stages. As all career it risks during the development of the same one change that will leave informing in the following meetings will happen. This will be directed by the director of the event Bruno Casa, the race director Laurent Beyts, the international Marshall Greg Winocks, the Peruvian Marshall Marco Flores and the president of IJSBA Scott Frazier. In the successive briefiengs the time will be the 20 hs, with a duration of approximately one hour it stops then to have dinner. The loads of fuels for the following day will be made to the 17 hs approximately to be ready for the next released at 9 in the morning. This optimizes the morning sailings and it allows a time for repairs and of relax in the afternoons. The organization will pick you up in the airport and receive the different delegations according to the pre agreed with you, but once in the hotel of LIMA we will have to mobilize ourselves through taxis. In Peru a taxi must ask price before beginning the trip. The cost of a taxi from the hotels to the beach is of approximately 3 to 4 American dollars. The day Saturday 29 will have to be in beach Sombrillas at the 8,30 hours without exception. This year we are many participants and if we all are respectful of the schedule everything will work better.

6 November 2008, BKK, Thailand – Mr. Veerasak Khowsurat, Minister of Tourism and Sports and Mr. Itthipol Khunpreum, Mayor of Pattaya City together with White Sand Beach Pattaya, the sole primary sponsor of the event gave a press conference ot open 1 of the 4 King’s Cup trophies 2008. The trophy attracted much attention from local and international media.
