>Flores on a Standabout

Famous racer Rob Flores will compete in GP Ski class by using a Kawasaki hull (and deck with a triple 2T Kawasaki engine in it. Rob “Flow” Flores simply calls it “Standabout”. He used a modified triple engine that it is way to powerful for the driveline and finally he will use a stock triple engine with mild tuning. He is supported by: Raceski.com, Walt’s motorsports and Hydro Turf. He owes special thanks to his friend Minoru Kanamori.

>Mike Klippenstein’s race schedule

Canadian Multi time World Champion Mike Klippenstein will compete, once again into too many classes this year at the World Finals. According to Carla –his wife- he will race at the following classes: Masters Ski Stock, Masters Ski Open, Pro Am Ski Stock, Pro Am Ski Veteran Limited, GP Ski and Pro Ski. Klipper has brought seven Ski’s this year on his pit and he is being working hard every day to tuned them up the way he only knows. He major sponsors this year are: Goji juice, Blackfoot Racing, Riva Racing, Walt’s, Weber, Stickerpimp, Jettrim and UMI Racing.

>Rius will race in GP Classes

Frenchman multi time World and European Champion Nicolas “The Fighter” Rius will attend this year the World Finals but instead of Racing in Pro classes he will race in GP Classes (GP Ski and GP Runabout). He will use a freshly tuned carbon hull Yamaha Super Jet in GP Ski that features new hull and engine modifications. Additionally, his Super Jet is equipped with new front sponsons, new power valve motor set up, an R&D modified ride plate and brand new graphics. In GP class Nicolas will use a KawaYamaha (a Kawasaki hull will a Yamaha motor and Yamaha deck) that is equipped with a supercharged intercooled motor with special, programmable ignition. Rius is sponsored this year by: Rius Racing, Yamaha, S.M.P.I. Oakley, Wiseco, DASA, GO2, Quakysense, and OND Helmets.

>Lustic on a Trinity Kawasaki Freestyle craft

Josh Lustic was practicing on his new freestyle race craft in Havasu. The hull in made by Trinity and it accommodates a Kawasaki engine tuned my Steve Webster of Jet Ski Unlimited. Josh Lustic was spotted in Body Beach along with Chad Cole, the chief mechanic of Jet Ski Unlimited.

>Norito on a Zapata hull race boat

Japanese rider Norito was in Crazy Beach on a new Sea Doo race craft which actually featured a Zapata hull. Additionally his race boat was attracting everybody’s attention due to its tricky parts. Norito was practicing at Crazy Beach trying to set up the handling of his race craft. We plan to have a detailed report of his high tech Sea Doo in the near future. His sponsors are: Quakysense, Hot Products, GWF, iwcs (International Water Craft Center), Nextage, Conti and MAXJ.

>Farthing on a Supercharged or turbocharged 15F?

The popular rider from Florida Dustin “King D” Farthing is preparing two Kawasaki STX-15F’s in order to participate in Pro Runabout at the World Finals. One of them is equipped with a supercharged engine and the second one features a twin turbo set up. His dad along with Christophe Girello of TechOneRacing are working heavily in order to prepare the two race boats according to Dustin;s needs. On the mean time Dustin is practicing on a two stroke STX-R 1200 at Crazy Beach.

>WF racers to receive certificate from Mayor of Lake Havasu City

The International Jet Sports Boating Association, and Kay Sykes, IJSBA Parade of Nations Chairperson, are proud to announce that in recognition of the racers accomplishments at the 2008 IJSBA Quakysense World Finals, and participation in the Parade of Nations the Mayor, Mark Nexsen will be awarding ALL RACE PARTICIPANTS with an award of excellence. Attached to each award is a commemorative coin issued by the Rotarians of Lake Havasu City. Each collectable coin is a limited edition and part of a series commemorating the history of Lake Havasu City. To receive your award, you must attend the Parade of Nations on October 9th to be held at the London Bridge Resort and Convention Center (same location as the award ceremonies) at 7:30 pm. Please be sure that you have your racers wrist band on to receive this award.
