>Kevin Reiterer, countdown for 2016 season

14th and 15th May 2016 - European Championship: Porec, Croatia - The best of the best will compete next weekend in Croatia at the 2016 UIM European Championship. Jeremy Poret (FRA), Nacho Armillias (ESP) and Kevin Reiterer (AUT) will be present to fight for the title. The Austrian has some final tests to undergo before heading to Croatia. “I am physically ready for the season and can’t wait for the rubber band to snap! Just some more tests and stuff to do before getting on the line!”, says the 23 year old athlete. Last weekend Reiterer got invited to Latvia for a training camp. “To win races is amazing but to have the chance to give something back to people and see them fulfilled and content just with being present is a huge motivation! I hope I can have more training camps in the future.” explains Kevin. We are excited if the Austrian can continue his winning strike and repeat his 1-1 result of last year’s race and we are wishing the most successful motorsports athlete of Austria best of luck.

>A Black Day for the sport

As announced from ProWatercross Tour crew: “We were deeply saddened today to hear that David Knisley passed away this past week. David was part of the Pro Watercross family from 2007 to 2013 as one of our race day announcers, TV personality as well as one of the producers on our TV shows. We first met David when he was brought in to be an announcer at a first time event in Salisbury, MA; we knew little about David except that he was a fireman in Grand Rapids, Michigan and in his free time announced for Arenacross. David turned out to be a good friend and great advocate for the sport of watercross. From the first time David picked up the microphone we knew that he was going to be part of our tour; he was a natural commentator at the races as he guided the spectators and TV viewers around the race course making each moto exciting and a thrill to watch. David had a way of making everyone he met feel welcome and important; whether it was a world champion competitor or someone that he was just having a conversation with... His kindness and great talent will always be remembered in our hearts and our deepest sympathy goes out to all of his loved ones - David will be truly missed.”

>ProWatercross Tour USA Round 1

SPORT GP: #13 Sam Nehme left little doubt that he is the man to beat in the Sport GP division, nailing two decisive first-place finishes in motos 1 and 2; but #72 Johnny Smith and #1 Kelly Smith both gave him a run for his money, followed closely by a crowded field in the competitive class. Kelly finished the weekend in 2nd after two third-place motos and a hard-fought first-place finish in moto 3. Johnny Smith's two third place finishes and a third place landed him the third podium spot for the weekend. >ProWatercross Tour Rd.1: Redinger, the “Charger”

Kommander Industries reports from Saterday’s motos from Round 1: “David Redinger lead the entire Moto in Pro-AM GP Ski and then a lapper hit him and knocked him off his ski. Redinger went back in to the game again and ended up with 2nd, Tyron Motzouris in 3rd and Dustin Motzouris in 5th. Dustin crashed hard and hurt his back and he came from behind to fisni in 5th place. Tyron was on back up Ski since the flywheel key broke on his race boat during practice. Chris MacClugage broke his engine (rear piston) so he did not race. James Wilson won the Moto in front of Redinger. Shante Buke scored a 2nd place behind winner Dustin Farthing in Pro Stock Runabout.

>MacClugage’s K1 is ready

Multi National and World Champion, Chris MacClugage will compete in the first Round of ProWatercross series in the USA on his new Kommander K1. MacClugage was very pleased with the performance of his new race ski after the completion of the recent tests. As he has mentioned on his recent video published by Kommander, he has seen numbers that there never seen before on any of his race crafts. He is very satisfied with the straight line stability as well as the absolute pure race turning characteristics of his K1. Additionally, Chris mentioned that the K1 is very predictable therefore you do not fight with the boat during racing. A Kommander K1 Macc Signature ski is on the green line of preparation by Kommander crew with close cooperation with MacCluage and it will be available from Kommander Industries and Macc Racing in the near future.
