>Martinique Race Heat 1

Martinique Jet Race this weekend - April 15 through 17. Located on the tropical island of the French Caribbean, with friendly people, gourmet cuisine, museums and world famous rum distilleries, we cannot imagine a more ideal setting for a PWC Race. This endurance offshore race will last throughout 3 days, riding through warm waters (25c/ 77F) as well as beautiful scenery. But the great location still will have its challenges. Each day the racers need to complete the 124 miles (200km) for a total of 372 miles (600km) of endurance riding, with only 1 fuel stop per day. Friday, the racers embark from the Martinique Capital, Fort de France. Saturday the pilots ride to St. Anne in the South, and by the end of the race will arrive in historic Saint-Pierre, the location of Mount Pelee in the north, where the rough waters make for the most challenging part of the course. The results were sent to Jetskiworld.gr by Luis, the mechanic of the Portuguese team, who finished 4th in the first heat.

>International Jet Ski Race in Korea

BJ Ang owner of Networx Jetsports in Philippines had the unique opportunity to participate in this International race and he tells all about it: “All International riders are in Pro AM Runabout stock but in reality those were Open boats. Aero Aswar and I were on Stock Ultra and RXP-X respectively. A Thailander rider got the first place as his mechanic setted up one ski for the Koreans and the Koreans told him to use it. So it was the fastest. Then the Korean rider who also joins the King’s Cup (K5) in his number got second with his fast Open boat too. Third was Aero and then I finished in fifth behind another rider. The race as it is for me is something. At least, they had a race rather than others who is all talk and planning. They were messed up a little but it was fine. We only learned what skis we will use an hour before our first Moto. And test them as well. So for short, we only got 15 minutes or so to test the skis and the course. By the way, the day before we were on Sparks to test the course. Then the start was like in China where the starts was done from floating docks. The water was flast but with racers on the water it got choppy.”
