>Tyron Motzouris race report from Florida

“I arrived on Thursday morning from South Africa. I got to test my new K1 on Friday afternoon for practice. Dustin and Steve set up my ski perfectly, I didn't change anything on the ski, it just felt perfect and I felt super comfortable on it. This was my first time on a K1 with a full open motor in it. I was nervous for the first race on Saturday as I had not lined up for pro ski since kings cup last year, but as we took off from the start I felt calm and really confident. Dustin got the holeshot in the first race with me close behind in second, I just wanted to have a solid first race so I was happy chasing him, but around three laps from the end he broke a tank strap which pinched the fuel line and I got the win. First moto on Sunday morning I got the holeshot and felt good the whole race but made a big mistake down the rough back straight and went down, Dustin got past me and I finished second, but I was happy with that as I was ahead on points. For the final Moto my plan was to ride a consistent race as I wanted the over all. Jimmy Wilson got the holeshot with me in second, he made a mistake over jumping a wave on lap two which allowed me to pass him for the lead. Around two laps later Dustin passed Jimmy for second and I felt happy with Dustin behind me. The final race was extremely rough but our K1 hulls work so well in the rough and I felt comfortable out there, I tightened up a few times during the race but still managed to get the win in that Moto. So I went 1-2-1 for the overall. I really enjoyed the race and there is no better place to race than the ocean. I would like to thank Dustin, Steve, Kommander Industries for my amazing boat, plus all our team sponsors, Rockstar energy, Burn, Villon and Z-Craft.

>Dustin Motzouris reports from Cocoa Beach

The IJSBA National championship was an awesome event. The AquaX team really did a great job and the event was run and set up really well. In the motos I was leading moto 1 but ended up breaking the tank strap in the rough conditions so, the tank moved and pinched off the breather line so the tank vapor locked and caused me to dnf. Moto 2, I came from mid packed and got into the lead about 2/3 I to the race. Moto 3, I got a 4 the place start passed into second behind Tyron and rode smart to the end . Our Kommander K1s worked really well in the rough conditions and the racing was very tough but fun. The races lasted approx 15 minutes each so it was great training too in the super rough conditions. Thanks Rockstar, Kommander, burn Villon, Jettrim and Skat-Trak for all the support. Photo: Chane Moore
