>Kevin Reiterer reports from GP of Italy

Reiterer wins GP of Italy in “Reiterer” fashion 23-25.05.2015, Castro Italien After a successful start into the season with a victory in Croatia at the first European Championship, Reiterer traveled with his Team to South of Italy to compete at the UIM Aquabike World Championship. Between the best riders of the World, Reiterer took home the overall victory at the second round of the UIM World Cup. The racers were fighting on the Italian seafront for the Grand Prix of Italy and more important points for the overall Championship. The young student qualified second, which made up a great starting position for his first moto. On the next day however the wind changed and 2 meter unpredictable ocean waves hit the rough shore of Castro. Due to technical and tactical reasons Reiterer decided to race with his less powerful backup ski. This meant less horsepower and the start from last position in the field. As it seems Reiterer wasn’t influenced by both of these disadvantages as he made his way through the pack in “Reiterer” fashion. Even his competitors had to admit his talent and performance while he got through the field and finished second behind Mickael Poret (FRA). “I love these conditions. It really shows the aspects of our sport. There is no horsepower or handling setup that might help. It’s just your physical condition and your mental aspects to get through such a race”, explains the IJSBA World Champion. The second moto was characterized by as smooth as a mirror flat water. Reiterer knew the risks of his 80hp weaker boat but another change of boat was not on his mind. He set the goal to go out there and do the best he can. As he made the pass a la “Reiterer” for the lead in the last laps after a hard charge during the whole race, the crowd was tunned. “Listening to the Austrian Hymne at the GP of Italy fulfilled a dream”, says the most successful Austrian motorsports athlete with a smile on his face. Kevin Reiterer, a young watersport athlete from a country with no sea around overwhelmed the world class athletes of his sport once again. The next race of the World Championship will take place in China in the first week of October. Meanwhile, Kevin is racing several Championships in Europe. How far the young sportman will take his career remains uncertain, however one thing is for sure, Kevin already left a mark in the sport he loves and when you enter a room and you hear his name a slight astonishment wanders around… Results GP of Italy: 1.Kevin Reiterer (AUT), 2. Mickael Poret (FRA), 3. Alex Barret (FRA)

>Networx Jetsports race report from General Santos

Two days of jet ski racing at General Santos has been very productive for Networx Jetsports. The Subic Bay based team showed up in the race site of Saranggani Bay with two riders, youngster Quinton Baterna and expert Tony Antonio. Baterna entered Beginners Runabout Stock Class since he was racing for the first time in the personal watercraft scene while Antonio competed in the Offhore Class as well as in Expert Runabout Open. Young Baterna took the holeshot in both Motos of his class and never looked back. His stamina and quick learning abilities helped him to succeed and win both motos by riding in a class of his own. “The kid has a great potential” Team owner BJ Ang mentioned after the race was over. Antonio had a good start in the Offshore Runabout class however the rough water conditions gave him a hard time and he was forced to settle down for second place. It was a good decision from him since he was racing soon after in the Expert Runabout Open class. The water conditions were even rougher in the afternoon however Antonio was placed in second placed after Daquil crossed the holeshot buoy and he was doing well until he faced some mechanical issues. Therefore he decided to play it safe and make sure he will cross the finish line. “Antonio will be coming back stronger in the next race” BJ Ang mentioned in his interview at Jetskiworld.gr Both Networx Jetsports jet ski riders were racing Yamaha’s FZR. Baterna was riding a FZR SVHO 2014 and Antonio’s is 2015 FZR SVHO. The race boats were prepared exclusively by BJ Ang at Networx Jetsports by using authentic R&D parts for their engine and handling set up.
