GP Ski class appeared to be very interesting this year. The competition level has been raised a lot since last year and the well dialed four-strokes appeared to be unbeatable by the three-cylinder SX-Rs. Canadian Superstar Mike Klippenstein took the holeshot and the lead however he got exhausted and got pasted by Motzouris and Reiterer. Motzouris who worked his way through from sixth place experienced some issues with the ON/Off switch of his Hydro and one lap before the end of the race he babbled due to this issue and Reiterer passed him. Reiterer took advantage of the situation and worked his way through to the finis line.

Factory Team Kawasaki has been testing a new turbo set up the last couple of months. Team Kawasaki is using a new Brog Warner Turbo kit which was initially tested and modified by Bill Chapin of R&D. Minoru Kanamori and Bill Chapin have join forces in order to enhance the performance of the Factory boats.

The competition in Pro Sport class was intense however no one could follow the pace of Tommy “Bomber” Bonacci. In the first moto he took the lead in second lap and never looked back. He rode all the way even through lapers to take the checkered flag. On second moto he made things easier by taking the holeshot and the lead and immediately he worked his way through the course in order to create a safe margin from the second rider. Two wins were an amazing result so Bonacci put another world title in his belt.

Can you run a bigger fuel pump on a Limited Runbout or not. It is clear in the IJSBA Rule book that it does NOT say you can use ONE. Therefore, if it is not say you can use it it means you cannot. However, riders of a certain team were using bigger fuel pumps and some other teams protested those race boats. The result? IJSBA said now you ca use bigger fuel pumps. However, ONE certain team (tuner) had it in written format from the IJSBA that you are not allowed to use a bigger fuel pump, and that happened before the World Finals. The result remained the same.

Mother and daughter, Emi and Moe Kanamori are racing this year at the World Finals. We wish them both best of luck.

Motzouris finished of hisnew race boat for the World Finals. Among many new parts it features a Sea-Doo Centre Trak bottom (hull) and a brand new spec engine.
