88motorsport.fi has recently introduced the illustrated set of sponsons specifically designed for the Kawasaki and the new Benelli. The backing plate is made out of special aluminum in order to be strong enough and also to withstand corrosion without needing to be anodized. A set of prototype ones has also been manufactured by a specific type of plastic however it was difficult to achieve a brilliant finish and it was very expensive to produce. The illustrated sponsons are accompanied with blades from Sea-Doo which is available at very low cost. The set costs 545euro and it is available from www.88motorsport.fi

This is one of the ways you can possibly secure your watercraft while it remains in the paddock. We have seen in the past other teams using an alarm if the hood or seat was being removed. However, Team Pastorello preferred to wrap it up all round the bond flange and keep the watercraft cover secured. They wouldn’t have done it if something nasty had not had happened in the past…

Rainer Cohnen from Luxembourg is selling his Yamaha SHO which is in Pro Stock set up and IJSBA legal for racing in the particular class. Also he has some aftermarket parts for the price of 1800euro. The craft was used this year by him and Jorissen at the Akropolis Jet Raid and Rainer toped the speed of 121kmh. It is FOR SALE for 13.000euro. 88motorsport.fi has introduced a new steering pole for Kawasaki Ultra. It is adjustable in terms of height by 12cm and also in angle since you can bring it in different locked positions. It is a clever system that comes straight forward from the snowmobile features. Its unique adjustable feature makes it ideal for using it on a boat for Close Course and Offshore/Endurance racing. Sammy Pajalin owner of 88motorsport.fr used a prototype of this particular steering system on his Mad Croc Ultra that we tested in Greece while he in the country for his participation at the Akropolis Jet Raid. Craig Warner has just released the new spec 1 SX-R hull which is made under his research and development. The new hull costs Retail $3,250 and you have to add the price of the hood $600 to pick it up all together. Additionally there is available a super light construction where hull and deck are made out of carbon fiber and the whole craft weighs 60-72 pounds and it costs $5,850.
