Kawasaki’s R&D rider and tech guru Minoru Kanamori finished 3rd Overall in Pro Runabout Stock. A very important finish for Kawasaki who had two riders in the podium, Eric Francis in No1 spot and Minoru in 3rd. However, Minoru’s Ultra got very popular and many enthusiasts wanted to buy it right from the paddock area of World Finals. We rode it exclusively on Pro Saturday afternoon and the complete has been published in the Race Tests section.

Steve Webster has been totally committed on developing the new fashion of three-cylinder SX-R race crafts. He has been dealing with many different engine and set-up packages the last two years, however lately he has been developing some new ideas pushed the project forward to a whole new level since out last testing that we held a year ago in Lake Havasu City, AZ. We have already tested two of his boats and we have been surprised by the progress that it was achieved in a year’s time. Stay tuned until we will exclusively revealed the brand new Kommander Industries-Trinity Composites set up. The test will be published in the Race Tests section of this web site.

This is the first Rickter hull which has been introduced with a Kawasaki twin-cylinder engine in it. Although Rick Roy was planning to launch it in the past it was never done by RRP. However, Steve Webster of Kommander Industries put it all together and designed a specific package for this application. Note the Wet Pipe and the factory Mitsubishi ignition. In the past Webster had built some very powerful Kawasaki twin engines for this kind of use and they were used by Josh Lustic. One of the first ever freestyle crafts was built on a Trinity Composites SX-R hull.

Jettrim has stitched more seats this year than any other company out there. 90% of the GP Runabout class race crafts were equipped with Jettrim seat covers and mats. Your still wonder which seat cover to pick? Isn’t this enough proof for you?

We tested R&D’s new performance package for the legal Pro Stock Sea-Doo RXP-X 2012 and we were really amazed by the overall performance. By using simple bolt on parts, a R&D reprogrammed ECU and an upgraded cooling system the boat clocked consistently 78mph early in the morning in Lake Havasu City. The boat accelerated greatly from standing still and it pulled harder at mid rpm even while turning through high speed sweepers. The complete story will be published next week featuring the list of R&D’s parts and the full review of the tests and stages the company went through the development of this Pro Stock (and recreational) Tune Up kit.
